Rose's Fat Free 'Fried' Bread
Portion: 2 slices p/p Time: 5 minutes Cost: $2.00 per portion (approx)
Thickly Sliced bread (toast thickness)
Margarine / butter
Seasoning: Salt & Pepper
Dried Italian Herbs

Cheese slices (optional) I use herb flavoured cheese slices for added flavour
Pre heat fry pan on stove top - over medium heat for at least 3 minutes. Spray with non-stick spray.
Butter bread slices and season buttered side with salt and pepper. Sprinkle each seasoned slice with a pinch Herbs and a pinch of Onion Powder.
Place slices in pan Seasoned side Down first - leave for 1-2 minutes. Spray bare side with non-stick spray.
Turn slices over and cook other side for a 1-2 minutes
( option) while bare side is cooking place a Cheese slice on the seasoned face up side then place a large lid over the pan for about 30 seconds allowing the cheese to melt slightly. Serve warm
The bread tastes sensational and is really healthy as minimal fat is used in the cooking process. Enjoy!
